Choosing Jewellery to match any Beading, Embroidery or Embellishment on your Dress
This is always a tricky one. If you have a plain, unembellished dress in a traditional white, cream or ivory then the world is your oyster and you can pretty much choose a necklace and matching earrings and bracelet in any colour or design – as long as it suits you and you are comfortable wearing it.However - if you have any amount of beading, embroidery, embellishment or detailing in your dress and you do not give careful consideration to the design of your jewellery - there is a high risk that your jewellery, instead of enhancing your gown, will actually ruin the overall look.

In the first instance, try and chose a designer that can offer jewellery to match the beading in your dress. This shouldn’t be a problem if the beads in your gown are made by Swarovski, as your jewellery designer should have access to the same beads.
If you are able to find beads to match your dress, think very carefully about the design of your jewellery.
A heavily beaded dress cannot usually stand a very heavy, intricately designed necklace. In this case think about a necklace made on illusion thread or a design in wire and beads - where the crystals or pearls are balanced by other materials.
Bear in mind this tip and you can have a bridal accessory to match all the details in your dress but that won't over-power the complete ensemble.

Concerned about wearing a necklace with a beaded or embroidered bodice? Eleni, from Eleni Bridal has been designing beautiful beaded and embellished bridal gowns since 1993 and her years of experience have taught her that a bear neckline with a beaded bodice below and a sparkly tiara and earrings above can look very unbalanced.
Consider too that if you are not used to an open neckline or bear shoulders, you may feel a little naked and exposed and a well chosen necklace could help you feel just a little more comfortable.
Still not convinced the 'full works' are for you and are looking for a compromise solution? Then why not think about a simple pendant, again made in the same beads as your dress, with matching earrings and bracelet.
