New Products, New Beads, New Prices
Since we last wrote, in August 2010, we've been very busy adding to our product range, bead choices and tweaking the site to make it a little more user friendly.
The top menu bar now features a drop down menu, making it easier for visitors to the site to find exactly what they want more quickly - particularly useful for the FAQs section of the site.
We've also added 'quick' links' to our Hair Accessories gallery page - a much needed function as this section grows quicker than any other part of the collection and is our most popular range.
We have also added 40 new products across the entire collection - including new tiaras, alice bands, hair pins, combs and slides, new necklaces with matching bracelets and earrings and a new pendant.
Many of the designs complement each other and build on our design ethos of clean, elegant, pretty bridal jewellery suitable for bride or bridesmaid or even the mother of the bride and groom.
We're sure you'll notice the influence of nature in some of the new designs, with the introduction of flower-themed pieces into the collection.
We have also removed some of the older tiara and alice band designs - either because we can no longer source the beads required or because the design no longer fits into the product range. Many, however, can still be made as a special order, so if something you like has disappeared, please let us know and we may still be able to supply it.
Over the last six months, Swarovski has introduced 6 new beads to their range which are now available for use in our designs.

The first 2 to arrive were Sunflower and Crystal Silver Night. These 2 beads couldn't be more different. Sunflower is a bright summer's day in bead - a fabulous sunny yellow/orange that makes you smile and a great bridal bead, especially for flower girls. Crystal Silver Night is a two tone bead - a transparent silver/grey crystal on one side and an opaque metallic silver coating on the other. The perfect bead for a dramatic evening piece. Both these beads are available in 4mm, 6mm and 8mm Faceted Bicones.

More recently 4 more beads have been released - 2 of which introduce a new concept for Swarovski - a blend of colours. Amethyst Blend and Topaz Blend are coloured beads that almost fade into clear Crystal - but not quite - yet still manage to be full of intense colour.
The third new bead is Chrysolite Opal - a beautiful very pale opalised green bead, perfect for bridesmaids or perhaps a bride wearing a non-traditional gown.
The last new colour is Crystal Bronze Shade, a bronze bead with a special, almost metallic blue coating on it. This bead again would be fabulous for bridesmaids, perhaps at a winter wedding, or for a specially commissioned evening piece. This bead - and the Amethyst Blend, Topaz Blend and Chrysolite Opal - are currently only available in 6mm bicones, but we're sure that will change so keep an eye on our bead colour charts for updates.
Finally, we have also added White Alabaster to the range - not a new bead but one we've previously overlooked. A fabulous white opaque bead, it is perfect for brides and a great alone or when matched with white pearls or clear crystal coloured beads. It's so nice, we can't work out why we've never offered it before! This bead is available in a 4mm and 6mm Swarovski Faceted Bicone and a 4mm, 6mm and 8mm Faceted Round.

Over the past year the price of silver has increased as much as 60% - and continues to rise, as does the price of Gold and Gold Vermeil. Swarovski have also put their prices up and then of course there has been the VAT increase of 2.5%.
As a small company we've been unable to absorb these costs so have been forced to increase our prices. We've been as conservative as we can and not everything has increased. The good news is, although we are already advertising the new prices on the site, we will honour the 2010 prices for all orders received and paid for by April 5th 2011 - which is the end of our financial year. Please note, this offer does not apply to the newly added items, none of which have ever been offered at 2010 prices.
