Choosing The Beads For Your Design
By offering a choice of beads and colours we are able to offer our clients maximum flexibility as well as the possibility of a unique design. Each individual product page gives full details of which bead types can be used in the design, plus links to the full colour charts for those beads.
Here we will give you a brief description of every bead available to you in the hope it will help you make your choice.
If you are looking for a very specific colour of bead or gemstone, we will always do our best to source it for you and if required, we can even ship beads in from trusted suppliers in the United States.

Swarovski Crystal
Almost certainly the best choice you can make! Swarovski Crystal beads are considered the best and highest quality bead available. A minimum of 32% lead is used in the manufacturing process, which makes the beads very clear and pure. The crystal is then cut with fantastic precision and colours and/or coatings are added to create beads that shimmer and shine with dazzling brilliance.
These beads are available in an amazing range of colours, sizes and shapes and at SilverTree Jewellery Design we offer our clients access to the full range of colours offered by or UK suppliers - in fact we like to think we offer the widest choice of Swarovski colours of any bridal jewellery supplier in the UK and always try to keep up to date with the newest beads available and offer them to you.

Swarovski Crystal Pearls and Crystal Pearl Gemcolours
Each Swarovski Crystal Pearl is created around a crystal core, which gives the pearl a weight almost identical to a real pearl. The Swarovski Pearl coloured coating is resistant to fading and gives a beautiful glow to the pearl, which seems to come from within.
These pearls are of the highest quality and are available in a lovely range of colours, a wide range of sizes and 3 bead shapes - the traditional round, a lovely chunky teardrop and baroque pearl - shown here.
Swarovski Crystal Pearl Gemcolours (pictured above right) are created in the same way as the crystal pearl, but are intended to mimic gemstones, rather than pearls. They have the same weight and lustre as the crystal pearls but the fade and scratch resistant coating is very slightly more glossy than the pearls and the colours are more intense and quite bold.

Czech Firepolished Cut Glass
A faceted glass bead made in the Czech Republic. Although not of the same quality as the Swarovski beads, they are a cost effective alternative while still being of excellent quality. They have good colour stability and are resistant to abrasion and chemicals. They come in a wide variety of colours and coatings and may offer a colour choice not available in the Swarovski palette.
These beads are offered as standard on very few of our designs, but can often be used instead of Swarovski Faceted Round beads or Swarovski Pearls if you are on a budget. Please ask us for a quote.
The options available can be seen on the Czech Firepolished Cut Glass bead colour charts however we may be able to obtain special colours on request.
Precious and Semi-Precious Stones
Some of the design sheets will give the option of Precious and Semi-Precious stones or beads. These are naturally formed stones fashioned into beads, cabochons (a flat backed, polished bead that is set into a mount) or faceted stones.
Some of the gemstones are considered by some to have healing properties.
The most common stones used in the Bridal Collection are Mother of Pearl and Freshwater Pearls, but we use a wide and interest range of gemstones in our Sterling Silver and Everyday Collections and will always try to source any stone you require - for use in any of our designs.
Semi-Precious stones are always used in the Gentleman's Accessories. We recommend you either choose a colour that complements/coordinates with your colour scheme or a stone with a special meaning, the most common choice being a birthstone.

Faceted Stones
SilverTree Jewellery Design is able to offer a number of precious, semi precious and cubic zirconia faceted stones, set in Sterling Silver pendant and earring mounts.The precious and semi precious options are naturally formed stones, facet cut and polished to reflect the light and enhance the beauty of the stone.
Cubic Zirconia (which is, to be technical, the cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide) is the most commonly used diamond simulant. It is optically flawless, hard and therefore highly durable. The facets and flawless nature of the Cubic Zirconia we use in the Bridal Collection give it the jewellery fanatastic colour and sparkle.
